Anupa Mehta Contemporary Art began in 2008 (as THE LOFT at Lower Parel) with residencies and studio exhibitions aimed at supporting meritorious artists and curators. Over 16 years the now eponymous gallery has shown the work of several Indian and international artists. Authenticity and integrity are key commitments that inform our curatorial vision and define our position within the contemporary art landscape. We showcase the work of international mid-career artists who have unique vocabularies.
We also offer art consultancy, advisory and high value acquisition services to select clients.

About the Gallerist
Among the fore-runners of the Indian art scene, Anupa Mehta is the founder of Anupa Mehta Contemporary Art in Colaba, earlier known as THE LOFT at Lower Parel. Known for her cutting-edge programming and edgy curation, Anupa brings curatorial, editorial and arts marketing strengths to her roles as gallerist and consultant. She was the founding editor of Art India magazine and the author of INDIA 20 a book of interviews with leading Indian artists. Awarded the ATSA fellowship, she has been the recipient of British Council & Visiting Art Fellowships. She has supported leading Indian institutions in an advisory capacity. Anupa consults with HNI collectors on collection building whilst overseeing her eponymous gallery's program in support of mid career international artists.
